After having confirmed that Outlast 2 will not support Playstation VR, Red Barrels today announced the microphones of PlayStation LifeStyle website that, nevertheless, the new installment of the series will take advantage of the extra power of PS4 Pro.
A few days ago it was announced that Outlast 2 would not support the PlayStation VR, while today it was confirmed that instead it will fully support the PS4 Pro. The confirmation comes directly from the president of Red Barrels, Philippe Morin, who answered some questions put to him by Playstation Lifestyle website.
Here are the words of the president of RB with respect to the 2 improvements of Outlast on PlayStation 4 Pro:
“Yes it will. It will have higher shadow quality, higher quality texture filtering and more detailed meshes. That’s what we have so far, but we’re still working on some improvements.”
According to the words of the developers, in fact, the title will present best shadows and a texture filtering of highest quality. Moreover, the developer house is working in order to introduce other improvements. For the time being we were not shared more details, so we do not know if Outlast 2 offer of Pro will have a frame rate or a higher resolution than the standard version.
