Unlike the original game, Destiny 2 will come to PC, but for those who wondered if there was any chance that it would arrive to Nintendo Switch console, it seems that this will not be so.

If you were curious about the possibility of Destiny 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch, IGN has decided to ask Bungie if this could happen. The answer was not definitive but it was not very encouraging either.

Mark Noteworthy of Bungie, was asked about Destiny 2 on the Nintendo Switch and although he did not deny the possibility, he said that it is something that they will still have to think about.

The report comes through an interview that IGN had with project leader, Mark Noteworthy, yesterday just after the game’s revelation event. In his remarks, the developer made it clear that there was “no announcement to make about the Switch at this time.”

“I think it’s pretty unrealistic, given we’re an online-only game, right? The Switch, because it’s a portable – and I love my Switch, I’ve got Breath of the Wild here, I’ve got it with me. It’s incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it’s at, I don’t want leave anyone with the possibility of, like, ‘it’s a thing we’ll consider, maybe next year.’ There’s no plans right now for Switch,” noted Mark Noteworthy.

As you may recall, Destiny 2 is under development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and is scheduled to arrive on September 8 on consoles, while PC version will arrive at a later time not yet known.
