Through the PlayStation Blog, Tom Lee, creative director of Team Ninja, talked about the DLC of ‘Dragon of the North’ that will come to Nioh next week, revealing some details about the new enemy of William.

The first thing fans should know is that this new chapter continues after William’s victory for restoring peace. However, a new enemy has arisen, and it is Lord Masamune Date, also known as Dragon of a Single Eye, a ruler of the feudal domain of Sendai in the Keicho Era. “In our opinion, his personality and exploits in history lend himself to become a key player to contend with in the story,” Lee said.

“He was known for being an impulsive leader who was wildly arrogant of his abilities — believing he was superior to most men, yet at the same time greatly devoted to the his land and subjects,” Lee continued. “We found this disparity in his personality to be something that we could utilize to create a memorable character and a formidable adversary for William.”

Also, you must know that Dragon of the North will take place in Oshu region, where players will face a new variety of threats, we refer to new enemies, demons and more. Lee announced that they will add more armor, skills and magic and the Odachi weapon.

Finally, the developer commented that this DLC will add the long-awaited PvP mode, although details will be revealed later.

The Dragon of the North DLC will debut on May 2 for Nioh.
