Yesterday the software house of Team Ninja surprisingly published a tweet about the announcement of Nioh 2. A small video posted by the YouTube channel of PlayStation Europe showed some of its future features, also announcing a closed Alpha period available from May 24th until June 2nd of this year.
Also yesterday, another unofficial video was published, showing the first 2 hours of gameplay video of Nioh 2. The YouTube channel “DIOMED#BRO” has shown from the start screen and the character creation and customization system up to the most advanced stages of the game. In the first initial stages of the game, players will have to undergo katana training to teach its character the way to use a sword and perform combat.
Once mastered the techniques, thanks to the tutorial phase, you will get to the heart of the game. It will also be possible to play online, in a way that seems to be cooperative. In the gameplay shown in the Nioh 2 video, there is absolutely no shortage of clashes against powerful enemies.
The initial screen of the game confirms that the title will be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment in the West, while in Japan the publisher is Koei Tecmo. Currently, we don’t have a scheduled date for Nioh 2 yet or a possible launch window: we only know that the game will be released on PlayStation 4. Stay tuned to our website for more information.
