Nintendo Switch Update allows you to transfer save data and capture video

Nintendo Switch received recently a new update that will allow save data transfer and video capture of certain titles.

So, with the update 4.0.0, Nintendo Switch users can transfer save game files and user profiles to another console. However, this feature does not allow for backups.

“Once the process is complete, the user information, the associated save data, and the software purchased with the user account that is transferred will no longer be available on the source console,” Nintendo explained on their FAQ page.

Also, the system will allow you to capture videos of “select games”. The first titles that will work with this feature are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS and Splatoon 2. Players can hold the capture button to record the last 30 seconds of their game and can share it on Facebook or Twitter.

Other new features include the character icons of Super Mario Odyssey and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as well as the option to preorder and preload games from the eShop. This means that players will be able to download previously Super Mario Odyssey.
