The Nintendo Switch hybrid console is ready to update its operating system. Version 6.0.1, already downloadable, does not introduce any new features, but merely improves the general stability of the software and consequently, the user experience returned.
Two problems, in particular, were corrected with the update: the first concerned with the internet connection test, which did not show reliable and correct values for download and upload speeds, while the second did not allow some controllers to correctly exploit the functionality related to motion control.
Recall that the previous update had added support to all the features introduced with the Nintendo Switch Online service, such as support for saving data in the cloud (even if not all titles are compatible), the ability to play online with their friends and not, access to a series of selected NES games and exclusive discounts on Nintendo eShop. There were also improvements to the overall stability of the system.
Recently, Nintendo of America’s president, Reggie Fils-Aime, explained to the fans around the world the motivation that led the company to delegate voice chat management to a smartphone app, rather than integrating it into of the console.
In the meantime, it seems that the Japanese giant is experimenting with Virtual Reality: the intent could be to propose innovative video game experiences.
