Nintendo Switch Online Release Date Confirmed for September 2018

Nintendo has started 2018 with important disclosures and, not to break the trend, just a few moments ago announced the launch window of its online payment service for Nintendo Switch, which will work through a subscription system and bring different benefits to its users.

Before the end of 2017, the official website of Nintendo Italy leaked the release date of the online payment service of Nintendo Switch and the announcement referred to its arrival in the fall of 2018. Today it has been confirmed that the leaked information was telling correct, by means of an announcement in its official accounts on the networks, Nintendo of America confirmed that the Nintendo Switch Online service will arrive in September 2018.

In this regard, Nintendo assured, through an official statement, that the work related to Nintendo Switch Online is advancing and its intention is to raise the gaming experience for consumers. In addition, the company reported that once the development approaches its final stage they will reveal the details.

Although no further information was revealed, Takashi Mochizuki, a technology reporter with The Wall Street Journal, said the company will present details about the service and its subscription system in the coming months.

In addition, Mochizuki cited the statement of Shinya Takahashi, the general manager of the Entertainment Planning & Development Division of Nintendo, who said they are preparing content and programs very attractive to subscribers of Nintendo Switch Online.

As you may remember, the Nintendo Switch Online service will work through subscriptions of 1, 3 and 12 months, which will cost $3.99, $7.99 and $19.99 respectively, and in addition to giving you access to the online features of Switch games, they will allow you to download classic games of the company, use a special application for smart devices and get discounts on the Switch eShop.
