Nintendo Switch Lite Pre-Orders Are Live Now

69

Nintendo recently announced Switch Lite, under the promise of being a lean version and a bit more affordable than its bigger brother, bringing a smaller screen and a much more portable aspect. It turns out that as of Tuesday (30), the legion of people interested in this new console can pre-order at US retailers such as Best Buy, Amazon and GameStop, and eager buyers can take a deep breath. The price of the Nintendo Switch Lite is $199, with official release scheduled for September 20. In addition, Switch Lite is available in all of its colors (turquoise, yellow or gray).

What stands out most in the Lite version is precisely the characteristic of being so portable, smaller than the original version. While the original Switch has a 6.2-inch screen, the Switch Lite has a 5.5-inch panel in a more compact overall frame. This leads to another very important point: the product is also much cheaper and affordable, reaching a difference of $100 compared to the Original Switch.

Another noticeable feature of Lite is the improved battery life over the original Switch, although Nintendo has an updated version of the larger model with an extended battery to be released soon. The maximum resolution of the new Nintendo console is 720p, while its capacity reaches 32 GB. In turn, the dimension is 91.4 x 208.3 x 14 mm. By contrast, it should be noted that the Switch Lite has no detachable controllers and cannot be connected to the TV, losing much of Switch’s greater versatility.

If this version of Switch Lite has not touched you, it may be worth waiting until November 8, when the Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian & Zamazenta Edition comes out.
