New Nintendo Switch Model HAC-001-01 Now Available in Australia

Nintendo has reworked the Switch and has built a new Tegra chip in the hybrid console, which ensures a much better battery life. This new version seems to be starting to arrive in stores, starting in Australia.

Instead of 2.5 to 6.5 hours of battery life as with the current Nintendo Switch, the new version comes to 4.5 to 9 hours of battery life. The new Switch can be recognized by the model number HAC-001-01 and the serial number starts with “XKW” (old/current Nintendo Switch: HAC-001 and XAW).

There was not even a press release sent out by Nintendo. In any case, the new version is now easy to market and will gradually replace the old version.

Let’s see if in the next few days we will see first reports in which the old and new Switch will compete against each other. A new chip not only brings more battery life, but the new SoC should also provide more power. I’m curious if you can feel it in everyday life.

While the new version will obviously coexist on the shelves with the old one, so if you have a choice, you should, of course, take the updated one, since it has the best-declared autonomy.
