According to Nintendo, the heart of this new system will be on the device containing the LCD screen and to which you can hook the Joy-Con.
“The dock is not the main console unit of Nintendo Switch. The main unit of Nintendo Switch is the unit that has the LCD screen, which the two Joy-Con controllers can be attached to and detached from. The Nintendo Switch Dock has been created so that it is extremely easy to seamlessly switch from playing games on a TV to transition into a portable mode,” published Nintendo.
Therefore, the main function of Nintendo Switch Dock will have output connections for TV and charging from electric power for the entire system.
Thus, the company seems to suggest that the dock does not contain elements that give extra power to Nintendo Switch, or anything like that. This, in turn, would mean that the device will display the same graphic power both on the laptop screen as when connected to a TV.
Nintendo Switch is the final name that was formerly known as Nintendo NX, and it is scheduled to debut in March 2017.
