Again, Nintendo released a new update for its hybrid console Switch. This time it is version 4.0.1, focused on improving the gaming experience on televisions.
So the 4.0.1 update’s, which is already available for Nintendo Switch, main function is to change “the HDMI connection process specification to match that of version 3.0.2 to address video and sound output issues with some TV models.”
The update also adds performance improvements that Nintendo did not specify. You can get more information about this 4.0.1 Update on the Switch support page here.
As we discussed at the beginning, last week Nintendo released new features for Switch, so users can now record videos directly from the game, preload and transfer data.
Indeed, with the update 4.0.0, Nintendo Switch users can transfer game-saving files and user profiles to another console. However, this feature does not allow for backups. “Once the process is complete, the user information, the associated save data, and the software purchased with the user account that is transferred will no longer be available on the source console,” Nintendo explained on their FAQ page.
Also, the system will allow you to capture videos of “select games”. The first titles that will work with this feature are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, ARMS and Splatoon 2. Players can hold the capture button to record the last 30 seconds of their game and can share it on Facebook or Twitter.
