As reported by the Wall Street Journal, Nintendo and DeNA would be currently working on a mobile game dedicated to The Legend of Zelda. The news has not been officially confirmed, but the WSJ has received the rumor from an insider very close to the project.

The Legend of Zelda might be the next IP of Nintendo to land on the mobile, at least according to anonymous sources quoted by the Wall Street Journal.

According to the financial newspaper Stars and Stripes, in fact, the house of Kyoto would intend to publish a version for Android and iOS of Animal Crossing, already announced some time during the second half of 2017, with The Legend of Zelda to follow immediately after.

According to the source, The Legend of Zelda would be the third mobile gaming of Nintendo of 2017 and will be released after Animal Crossing Mobile, whose launch is expected in the second half of the year.

The popularity of the saga of Link has recently increased thanks to the excellent title of Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch and Wii U, hence the move of Nintendo seems quite plausible.

At the moment, there are no details about the game at all, Wall Street Journal has tried to contact Nintendo for further clarification on this. We’ll see if these rumors prove to be well founded.
