When a hardware company is developing revisions of their platforms, they are usually announced within a few weeks of their launch to avoid a continued sales collapse over time. This is what must be happening with the (almost) confirmed Nintendo Switch Mini, which even some stores had made available to reserve different types of accessories such as cases or screen protectors.
On the occasion of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Nintendo, the company representatives have had to step out to talk about this rumored review.
In that sense, the house of Kyoto confirmed the news with the following statements: “We acknowledge that there have been reports [about this]. Answering to rumours and speculations would end up stealing surprises from our customers and also be unprofitable to all of our shareholders, so we have no answer to that. As a general theory, we are always performing the development of new hardware.”
Therefore, indirectly, it is “affirmed” that Nintendo Switch Mini exists and it is in development.
One of the moments in which this awaited revision could be launched would be during this summer, to boost sales in a habitually less active period; or in September, with numerous releases of games waiting around the corner.
