As you know, this past week a new presentation of financial results has been held by Nintendo. Now we bring you a curious detail shared in the meeting by the president of the company, Shuntaro Furukawa.
At the presentation, an investor asked Furukawa that if Nintendo had plans to reduce the price of the original Nintendo Switch model now that the Switch Lite version has already been released in the market. Well, it seems that the answer was negative, since they are not planning to lower what the platform costs.
“We want to maintain the value of the product as much as possible,” the president shared. “No plans for a price reduction at this time,” he said, adding that they do not plan to reduce the production cost of the platform in the short term.
Taking into account the excellent sales data shared in this presentation, it is normal that Nintendo does not expect to lower the price of its console.
