Nintendo 3DS Sales Expects To Hit 70 Million Units Soon

The echoes of the recent financial report of Nintendo persist because the industry and the media have reported on the good year that the Japanese company has had in terms of the sale of its offer of consoles and games.
Even though the spotlights were for Switch and Super Mario Odyssey, there is a console that, despite being at the end of its life cycle, is still very important for Nintendo: 3DS.
As part of Nintendo’s recent financial report, the company highlighted the global sales performance of the family of its handheld console, Nintendo 3DS, which includes the following models: Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL, New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL, Nintendo 2DS and New Nintendo 2DS XL.
Initially, the Japanese company mentioned the stability in sales that the console maintains for its different models because although its time of greatest splendor has already passed, it registered stability in the market during this year and maintained sales of more than 50 thousand weekly units.
The change in 2017 was presented in a positive way as the sales of the portable console had an important rebound thanks to the arrival of the New Nintendo 2DS XL model and the debut of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age in Japan.
On the other hand, Nintendo highlighted the sales stability of the 3DS family of consoles after the release of Switch, considering that the impact of the launch of the new hybrid console was adequately supported by its offer of portable hardware.
Finally, Nintendo reported that its expectation for the 3DS family of consoles is to reach the 70 million units sold around the world in the near future. To achieve this goal, the company plans to maintain support for the console and shows its recent offer of titles such as Metroid: Samus Returns, Minecraft: New Nintendo 3DS Edition, Fire Emblem Warriors, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions and Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon, among others.
