The PC version of Nier Automata is still without a launch window, but it seems highly unlikely that the Windows edition can come out along with the PlayStation 4 version (coming March 7 in the US and March 10 in Europe), as confirmed by the producer Yosuke Saito.
Nier Automata is now very close to its final release, but according to the statements of Yosuke Saito, producer of the game, the title signed by Platinum Games could suffer a slight delay in its PC version. While the PS4 version will definitely debut in the next month on March 7th, the Japanese team would be worried by the possibility that the version of Steam will end up being pirated and therefore want to take all the necessary precautions.
Although the work on the PC edition of NieR: Automata are virtually completed, Platinum Games wants to make sure the game is not affected by the phenomenon of piracy and so is trying to take all the necessary precautions.
The team is trying to implement the best possible security system to prevent Nier: Automata or it might end up on file sharing networks prior to launch, or in the days following the appearance on Steam.
The release date will be announced at a later date but it seems unlikely that the game can go out simultaneously on PC and PlayStation 4.
PC players always have to suffer because of piracy and now it seems that they will have to wait for some unusual time to get their hands on this most awaited title. What are your thoughts, PC gamers?
