With almost 3 years of its last title, the Dragon Age series could soon receive a new title but, far from what the fans are expecting, a hypothetical Dragon Age 4, it would be a spin-off. This is according to a statement by Mike Laidlaw, creative director of the franchise.
In the last few months, BioWare has mentioned that it has plans for a new Dragon Age title, it was obvious that the expectations of the fans and their curiosity would increase over time. That’s why Mark Laidlaw appeared on his official Twitter account to try to clear the landscape to the players.
So according to reports, the director mentioned that there is a Dragon Age project in development but it has not been confirmed whether it will be the fourth installment or Dragon Age 4, opening the possibility that there will be a spin-off in the future of the series.
In this way, fans of Dragon Age begin to have a little more certainty about the future of the series and although BioWare has its efforts focused on Anthem, it is good to know that they have not forgotten another important franchise.
As you can see from the tweet below, Laidlaw’s statement shows that BioWare is working on a spin-off rather than a sequel in all respects. In short, everything is now wrapped in mystery. But irrespective of this, we remind you that BioWare has already confirmed that it has taken into account the idea of making two new games involving Dragon Age. For now, we just have to wait.
There is a "Dragon Age" project happening. It is not confirmed as the fourth main game in the series. Many sites have run with the rumor. https://t.co/IVt67dFmYJ
