On the occasion of the celebrations for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the series, Sega has announced that a new chapter of Sonic the Hedgehog will come in 2017.
So the news was revealed as part of the celebration of the franchise in Tokyo by the same Takashi Iizuka. Although some thought about the new title of Sonic comes this year to mark its 25th Anniversary, the truth is that fans will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the new release.
In addition, we must remind you that the new game will be shown during the festival of the 25th anniversary of Sonic, an event that will be held on July 22 in San Diego.
However, you must remember that in this 2016 itself there will be games to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Sonic. For the owners of Nintendo 3DS they will find Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, debuting on September 27. As if that were not enough, Sonic will appear in the upcoming expansion of LEGO Dimensions.
