The followers of Resident Evil undoubtedly had a good 2017 with the arrival of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil: Revelations Collection. Of course, Capcom will continue working with the franchise but has not yet given many details about its future. However, the company generated expectations recently.
The Japanese Twitter account of the series shows an image with the cover of several titles of Resident Evil. What is striking is that on the left there is an empty space. Of course, the community estimates that it is a new project in the series.
The Resident Evil Plus+ account noticed this detail and without wasting time shared the image. Capcom has not given details on a new title, so players estimate that it is Resident Evil 2 Remake.
This is due to the fact that the game originally debuted on January 21, 1998. Thus, it is a matter of weeks before its 20th anniversary is celebrated. The date is ideal for Capcom to show something about this project that fans expect so much.
On the other hand, there are also those who think that the company could reveal a new title. Part of the community relates the image to the hypothetical Nintendo Direct scheduled for next week. So they estimate that another game in the series will hit Nintendo Switch.
We suggest you to not get too excited because Capcom has not said anything about a new game or a preview of Resident Evil 2 Remake. We will have to wait to see what surprise the company prepares.
In related news, Resident Evil was originally going to be a game for SNES. Capcom revealed that it almost launched a line of amiibo figures from the series.
