Yesterday it was informed about a new controversial situation involving Mass Effect: Andromeda, as a false publication on Facebook that had sowed doubt in the fans mind because it was asserted that BioWare was no longer working for the game and all the DLC of the story mode had been canceled.

Michael Gamble and Fernando Melo, producers of the title, reported on Twitter that everything was a hoax and that the company which had published the information was false. Recently, Kotaku went to the task of investigating more about it and apparently within all the deception there is something certain because BioWare would have stopped working for the game.

Kotaku has published an investigation in which it has recaptured previous data regarding the problems faced by the development of Mass Effect: Andromeda, especially the restructuring of BioWare Montreal, which was responsible for the development, after the launch, which resulted in many members of the original team being assigned to other projects like Anthem and Star Wars: Battlefront II.

According to the research, although the publication of Facebook was a hoax, it brought to light the delicate situation that the title lives on because according to sources, BioWare closed all type of project that involved the expansion of Mass Effect: Andromeda, even a possible sequel.

Kotaku reported that it had access to 3 anonymous sources close to the plans of BioWare and they informed that the company is no longer working on any DLC for the story mode of Mass Effect: Andromeda, that practically the project was terminated and although there was provision to do something more, the reality is that the original development team is already working on other games.

In addition, it was reported that BioWare has not given information on the matter and has not answered the questions that various media have asked about the rumors that indicate the abandonment to the title.

Like all information of this type, it must be taken with caution and until BioWare issues an official statement we will know the actual situation of Mass Effect: Andromeda.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
