New Installment of Splinter Cell Possibly Leaked By GameStop
The US video game store GameStop has been able to give us new clues about a new installment of Splinter Cell. And it is that the company of physical sales has begun to accept pre-orders of the Splinter Cell Goggles Replica. The information comes with the description of the night vision goggles.
“For the first time since the introduction of Splinter Cell in 2002, after nine top selling AAA+ titles, and with the 10th release on the horizon, this is your first chance to own Sam Fisher’s signature Ultra High-Frequency Sonar Goggles,” the description of this Goggles reads.
The mention of this “10th release” could be a simple mistake, just as it could confirm the existence of a new project that we can see in the not too distant future.
Recall that a few weeks ago we informed you about some statements of one of those responsible for the saga of Sam Fisher. In an interview, Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft stated that “Regarding Splinter Cell, the series will offer new experiences, but it will rather on different devices. We work a little … a lot on the license, so that it can someday come back. I can not tell you when, because it takes time, but we have to find the right moment to make a comeback.”
These statements may not confirm a new installment, but what is clear is that the Splinter Cell saga will not be forgotten. Sooner or later we will see the infiltrated agent again. We are sure of that.
