Some time ago, Take-Two thrilled its fans by ensuring that an expected title of a famous 2K Games franchise is on the way. As the distributor has not revealed it, many have begun to have doubts about it; however, everything seems to indicate that they do not have to do it since the company reiterated that this project is on the way.
Through a statement, Take-Two Interactive reported that the expectations for the fiscal year 2019 – which were revealed in May 2017 – have not changed, so it expects to achieve record revenues. The above is like this because in this period Red Dead Redemption 2 will debut and “a highly anticipated new title from one of 2K’s biggest franchises.”
With this in mind, it is expected that this mysterious new game of a 2K franchise will debut between April 1, 2018, and March 31, 2019. Given that this title has not been revealed, it is likely that it will debut at the end of 2018 or beginning of 2019.
But what is the game that 2K Games is preparing? While nothing is confirmed, Randy Pitchford, general manager of Gearbox Software, said recently that 90% of his studio is working on Borderlands 3, so everything seems to indicate that this is the title to which Take-Two refers too.
In other news, 2K Games recently published a job offer that states it is working on an unannounced FPS. It confirms that it is an AAA production with sandbox elements and that it will have a great emphasis on its campaign. On the other hand, we think you’ll be interested to know that Shawn Elliott, a creative who worked at Dishonored and Prey, joined 2K Games.
