Blizzard said in September last year that it is working hard on the future of Diablo. However, the company did not detail its plans to continue with the expansion of the universe of its popular franchise.
Fortunately, this changed today, as Blizzard confirmed that it is working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. The company did not directly share the news, because the information comes from a new job vacancy.
“We’re working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. Are you a skilled Dungeon Artist? Come work with us, and together we will build something exceptional,” says part of the job offer.
Blizzard is looking for an artist who is in charge of creating scenarios for the new project, of which we do not know more details. Candidates should be familiar with the franchise and work directly on level design.
You must also collaborate with leading artists and the artistic director of the project to create a unique Diablo experience, as well as to meet Blizzard’s high-quality standards.
The chosen one must have more than 3 years of experience in the creation of video game environments. In addition, you must have good modeling and texturing skills using various programs.
The artist must create prototypes, work with different teams, provide a valuable vision for the project and feel passion for video games. As mentioned, there are no details of the game, so we do not know if it is the next main title, a new expansion or a spin-off of the franchise.
Blizzard said that, at the moment, they do not contemplate a remastering of Diablo II. On the other hand, some rumors suggest that the third installment of the series is on its way to Switch and that there will be a physical version of Diablo III: Eternal Collection.
