The production company of Platige Image has announced it is working on the TV series of The Witcher, developed in collaboration with Netflix. The series will be made in consultation with Andrzej Sapkowski, author of the saga of Geralt from where the video games have been developed by CD Projekt RED.
Excellent news for fans of Geralt of Rivia, the magnificent novels of Andrzej Sapkowski, or the video games of the saga of The Witcher. Netflix has just announced an agreement with the Polish writer to turn the adventures of Geralt into a TV series.
The news has been advanced by Sapkowski himself, who will work as creative consultant for the series much in the style of what George RR Martin does with the television adaptation of Song of Ice and Fire for HBO.
Tomas Baginski and Jarek Sawko are among the executive producers and the same Baginski said he was interested in directing at least one episode. At the moment, unfortunately, there are no other details about the Netflix series dedicated to The Witcher, in any case, this is undoubtedly good news for fans of Geralt.
The only doubt for now is whether the series will be animated or will feature real actors. Be that as it may, it will be great to follow the stories imagined by Sapkowski in a series.
We look forward to get further details about the cast and the possible launch window.
