Yesterday was a special day for Ghost Games and Electronic Arts, as it was the day that officially presented the first excerpt of what will be the new Need for Speed. The new Need for Speed, after the change that they introduced in the renewed game of 2015, seems to bet again on the persecutions and the action. Thanks to the trailer that the company has published, the players could have a first contact with Need for Speed Payback.
The return of Need for Speed, with Need for Speed Payback, happens after a period of rest for the license. “Need for Speed comes back challenging our fans expectations,” argues Marcus Nilsson, Executive Producer of Ghost Games, asserting that “we will give our fans everything they love about the franchise.” This will list options such as personalization, a wide range of cars, high-intensity racing and persecutions in the open world.
However, there are many doubts that arise from this new title, since it seems to be closer to previous releases of the license than to the renewal of the concept of street racing and tuning of its latest title. Nilssen argues that “with Need for Speed Payback they will take all the elements to a new driving experience,” pointing to “blockbuster style”.
Among the most interesting aspects of Need for Speed Payback we find are “the story, the different characters with whom you can drive, the variety of missions, the moments of action,” where Nilssen points out that “they are just some examples of what we believe which should be a title for action and driving.”
There are a lot of expectations in the new Need for Speed Payback, although it may have initially reminded the deceased Need for Speed The Run. But it is soon to draw conclusions, because with a single trailer it can not be deduced too much and we know that in the next EA Play of Electronic Arts, Need for Speed Payback will be shown in a more detailed and extensive way.
