Ghost Games decided to start the year by announcing that a free roam mode is on its way to Need for Speed Payback. A little over a month after this, the company shared the first details about this mode and announced that it will arrive very soon.
Through a publication on its website, Ghost Games revealed that the name of the new mode for Need for Speed Payback is Alldrive: Hangout and in it, you can explore Fortune Valley freely. In addition, it will give you an “environment to socialize” and meet with your friends to show off their fastest cars.
According to the official announcement, Alldrive: Hangout will be part of a free update that will arrive today in Need for Speed Payback. With it will also come a new type of object called Catch-up Packs, with which you can accelerate the progression of your cars.
There will be 3 varieties of the package – level 6, level 11 and level 16 – that will be unlocked by achieving certain goals in the campaign. Keep in mind that the only way to get them is to pay with the currency of the game.
That’s not all since the update will also add the ability to sell or change all the Speed Cards you do not use. It will also include several “changes and improvements” to Snapshot Pro so you have more tools to get the perfect image. Finally, the menu will feature small changes to make it easier to keep up with all the news from Need for Speed Payback.
