Following its tradition, Valve released the results of its monthly survey on hardware and software of Steam users. Thanks to this, we already know which was the most popular graphic card among the players that take advantage of this service.
According to the information presented by Valve, for the fifth consecutive month, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 was the most used graphic card among its users (14.29% of respondents use it). Behind it, there are video cards such as the GTX 1050 Ti (9.70%), the GTX 1050 (5.14%) and the GTX 960 (4.25%).
As you can see, the dominance of Nvidia on Steam is evident. In fact, 75.02% of its users use graphic cards of this brand. On the other hand, only 14.6% use AMD graphics cards and 10.21% use Intel hardware for their graphics needs.
Another point that caught our attention is that the most popular resolution on Steam is 1920×1080 (62.06%); in fact, its popularity increased 1.40% in the last month. Note that only 1.32% use 4K resolution, while 3.69% of users prefer to play at 1440p.
It is important to note that this information may vary a bit from reality. We say this because it is a survey that does not take into account 100% of Steam users and only those who have decided to participate. That said, it is a good indicator of the most popular type of hardware on the platform.
