DR. MARIO WORLD [IOS, ANDROID] – JULY 10

It is no secret that Nintendo is looking favorably on the mobile gaming market. In fact, it considers it a good way to bring the public closer to its most popular franchises. As part of this strategy, in the middle of July will come Dr. Mario World, a game for iOS and Android that takes the classic puzzle saga to a new platform by changing some elements, but keep the most important ones.

If at some point you played Dr. Mario for NES, you probably know that it is a puzzle game in which you must remove viruses from a board by aligning them with capsules of the same color. In Dr. Mario World that will continue, with the difference that here medicines do not fall at full speed. Instead, you will have a limited number of capsules and it will be your responsibility to accommodate them from the bottom up to eliminate all the disease that is on the screen. So, we are talking about a puzzle with a much slower rhythm than its predecessors, where you have to think very well before acting. It is worth mentioning that this free-to-play will have several playable characters, as well as several worlds. It promises fun for a good time.

It is such an original and fun concept that it is surprising that no one has tried again in a long time. Fortunately, that will change in July thanks to the premiere of SOLSERAPH, an Ace Team and SEGA project that promises to offer everything necessary to be considered a worthy heir to SOLSERAPH.

In SolSeraph you will control Helios, a divine being whose mission is to rebuild a society that was devastated. To do so, it is necessary to eliminate the forces of evil in side-scrolling scenarios full of action, platforms and combat. However, that will not be all that SolSeraph will offer, since there will also be times when you will have to manage a society and do everything possible to make it flourish when it reaches its full potential.

DRAGON QUEST BUILDERS 2 [PLAYSTATION 4, NINTENDO SWITCH] – JULY 12

Dragon Quest is one of the most successful and beloved sagas in Japan. One of the reasons why it has maintained this success throughout its story is thanks to the fact that it retains its JRPG essence. That said, the reality is that it can offer much more than this and offer spin-offs that move away from this genre and explore other perspectives. As an example we have Dragon Quest Builders, a title whose sequel will arrive this month.

Like its predecessor, Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a construction game in which you will explore a world in which a Dragon Quest villain triumphs; This time it is about Hargon, the antagonist of Dragon Quest II. So, you’ll have to polish your construction skills to complete missions, get equipment and have enough strength to defeat evil. In addition to the story, Dragon Quest Builders 2 will feature an online multiplayer that will surely keep you building for hours if you have friends with whom to enjoy it.

GOD EATER 3 [NINTENDO SWITCH] – JULY 12

While the third installment of God Eater debuted for PlayStation 4 and PC a few months ago, the version for Nintendo Switch will only hit the market this month, which will allow its users not to miss the opportunity to try this action RPG with mechanics of combat hack ‘n’ slash. In the world of God Eater 3, everything has been devastated by the Aragami, giant monsters that nothing and nobody could face. These creatures took advantage of this invincibility to devour the resources of the Earth and almost completely eliminate the human race. However, the survivors developed biomechanical weapons made from the remains of Aragami, which choose their carrier, God Eater, and make these beasts vulnerable.

To face the threat, you will integrate a group of God Eaters controlled by the computer if you decide to play alone, but it is important to know that, thanks to the connectivity of the hybrid console, you can meet with friends locally to participate together in these fierce battles. But that’s not all, if you want to take the clashes to a colossal level, the online game option is for you, as it will meet you with up to 8 players, all collaborating simultaneously to hunt the Aragami.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: THE BLACK ORDER [NINTENDO SWITCH] – JULY 19

The impact of Avengers: Endgame was enough to revive one of the crossover franchises that attracted the attention of the players years ago and this month we will have exclusive to Nintendo Switch, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, a title that will gather a significant amount of superheroes, who will fight the threat of Thanos and the Black Order.

As in previous installments, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order presents an adventure as a role-playing game, in which we will have control of a group of superheroes, so it will be necessary to be aware of the attacks, defense and the best strategy to deal properly with enemies. BEYOND: TWO SOULS [PC] – JULY 22

Given its design as a graphic adventure, it was to be expected that, at some point, some of the titles of Quantic Dream would see the light on PC, a platform in whose story there are great eras marked by this type of games. Fortunately, the exclusivity with PlayStation is over and PC players will enjoy this month Beyond: Two Souls, a title that debuted in 2013.

Beyond: Two Souls tells the story of Jodie Holmes, a character played by Ellen Page, who was born with telekinetic abilities and from her first moment of life has been linked with Aiden, an entity that has allowed her to interact with the spirit world. In this game we will learn about 3 stages of Jodie’s life, her childhood, adolescence and adult youth, trying to understand the reason why, in this last one, it ends up being the objective of the CIA and of all the security institutions in the United States.

Like any Quantic Dream game, Beyond: Two Souls bases its structure on dialogues and decision making, spicing up the experience with Quick Time Events. At all times, we will have the possibility to advance through the different branches of the possibilities tree presented by the development studio, which will have an impact on the facts and the way in which the story unfolds. If you are a fan of graphic adventures and are looking for an intriguing story, you can not miss Beyond: Two Souls.

It seems that it was yesterday when we were surprised by the presence of a couple of characters in Super Smash Bros. Melee coming from a franchise called Fire Emblem. From there, the interest in the West for Intelligent Systems’ role-playing and strategy series grew and this summer we celebrated the launch of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, a title that marks the return of Fire Emblem to a Nintendo home console, like Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn did the same on Wii in 2007.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses takes place on the mainland Fódlan, divided into 3 nations that used to be in conflict but are in a period of peace: the Adrestian Empire, the Sacred Kingdom of Faerghus and the Alliance of Leicester. The balance of Fódlan and practically the place that guarantees peace is in the central part with the Garegg Mach monastery, where the Church of Seiros and the Academy are. Precisely, this is where the adventure will begin because, in this training space, 3 representative houses of each nation converge.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses maintains the essence of the franchise, so it will be necessary to master all kinds of strategies and development plans. Also, the new title of the series seems to stand out for its visual section, according to the previous material that has been revealed, and the portability of Switch makes it an excellent option for this summer.

KILL THE KILL: IF [PLAYSTATION 4, NINTENDO SWITCH, PC] – JULY 26

Also, the APlus Games title will also integrate a solo game mode and the classic multiplayer. At the same time, Kill the Kill: IF will move away from complex controls and present a system based on strengths and weaknesses, which will use the logic of the game of stone, paper or scissors, so that it will be necessary to respond, at the appropriate time, with the combination of buttons that results in an attack of great power, the same for defensive movements.

The player will control a team of 3 characters, each with different abilities, and can travel through interconnected maps in search of resources that can be used to obtain tools and equipment. In this world, there will also be threats that will unleash battles with the player, and change the game mode to one of turn-based strategy in which you will command your team alternating your movements with those of the opponent.
