The statements from a representative of European company suggest that Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. will be localized.
Capcom would be giving a “green light” to the localization of Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. The case is that Klaas Walter, a member of the company’s European subsidiary, made a series of comments on this in an interview with the Russian media Hi-News.
They asked him if, with the departure of Monster Hunter World, the publisher and developer have decided to give up the release of exclusive games for Nintendo, and instead opted for a multiplatform strategy. Walter replied to that “I wouldn’t say that other platforms won’t get games from us.”
After that, he confirmed the following: “For example, the Nintendo console Switch will soon get Monster Hunter XX (enhanced remake of Monster Hunter Generations). So that the release of Monster Hunter World does not mean that the series suddenly became exclusive of any of the consoles.”
It is not clear whether the translation and interpretation of Russian into English from this interview is correct. But we want to believe that at least it’s a positive change in Capcom’s thinking.
How soon will we see Monster Hunter XX Nintendo Switch Ver. in America and Europe? If Monster Hunter World comes out in January, there may be hope that this game will be released in March. Especially if Capcom wants to keep its report for the current fiscal year as healthy as possible, which will end at the end of that month. If not, we will have to wait until the summer season.
