Square Enix and Capcom surprised many fans at E3 2018 by announcing collaborative events between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter World. If you are part of the MMORPG community, take into account that very soon you will be able to face the fearsome Rathalos.

This will be possible thanks to the special event that will start in Final Fantasy XIV in the next month of August 7. This collaboration of Monster Hunter World will be part of the patch 4.36 of the MMORPG, which will arrive with The Pagos Expedition.

Level 70 players who have already completed Stormblood can measure their abilities in a fierce battle against the Rathalos, a creature that will be available in a normal and extreme version.

A team of 8 players will be able to face the standard version of the creature, while a group of 4 warriors will face its extreme version. Also, various mechanics and winks will be added to Monster Hunter.

There will be special rewards in Final Fantasy XIV and you will see characters like Poogie, as well as Palico. Throughout the event, you can get a set of armor inspired by Rathalos, his mount, as well as the peculiar roaster of Monster Hunter.

On the other hand, Square Enix is also working on patch 4.4 of the title, which will include new main and secondary missions, more dungeons, tests, raids and various updates to the game.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4 and PC. Check out the trailer of the event below.
