Monster Hunter World 4K Boost by 50% With 60 FPS on PC Confirmed, Nvidia DLSS Support Coming July 17
On July 17, an update will be released for the title of Monster Hunter World, which will implement the NVIDIA DLSS technology in the game.
One of the most important technologies implemented by NVIDIA is DLSS. The Deep Learning Super Sampling is a technology that allows to take advantage of the AI to improve the performance of the game. Monster Hunter World will implement this technology on July 17th. According to NVIDIA, the game could get up to 50% better in 4K resolutions, being able to pass the 60FPS with ease with the RTX 2080 Ti.
DLSS is based on the Tensor Cores developed by the company. These have been specially developed for Artificial Intelligence. Initially, this type of tech was developed for the professional segment, but they have made the leap to the gaming segment. They are a complement to RayTracing, which allows improving the performance of games.
Specifically, in high-resolution textures, according to the NVIDIA graphics with an RTX 2080 Ti, 4K @ 71.6FPS will be reached with DLSS. Without the DLSS technology, it only reached 46.7FPS. The RTX 2080 goes from 34.7FPS to 54.9FPS, the RTX 2070 goes from 29.1FPS to 45.7FPS and the RTX 2060 goes from 23.6FPS to 37.2FPS. All tests are under 4K resolution.
In addition, the company has shown on its blog some images of the game with the 4K resolution with DLSS technology. The problem is that there is no image without this technology to see the graphical improvement, if it exists. So we must wait to see the first tests once it is updated.
We assume that fans of the game who have these graphics card will appreciate these improvements. In addition, a high-resolution texture pack will be added that will require graphics with at least 8GB of VRAM. Resolutions 1440p or 4K are recommended, to enjoy the DLSS at full capacity.
To play with DLSS you just have to download the latest Nvidia driver, as well as the new update for Monster Hunter World, which will be released on July 17th. In addition, you need the free package with the high-resolution textures of the game.
Then you simply set the resolution in the display menu under Options to 2560×1440 or 3840×2160 and enable Nvidia DLSS in the game.
