On 26 May, we finally get a reunion with the athletic young girl Faith in Mirror’s Edge Catalyst. The game comes to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and if you are planning to play on the latter platform, EA has unveiled the minimum and recommended system requirements to play Mirror’s Edge Catalyst on PC:

Minimum System Requirements:

OS: Windows 7 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)
CPU: Intel i3-3250 / AMD FX-6350. (Note: Mirror’s Edge Catalyst requires at least 4 logical cores to run.)
RAM: 6 GB
HARD DRIVE: At least 25 GB of free space
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB or better / AMD Radeon R9 270x or better
INPUT: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller

Recommended System Requirements:

OS: Windows 10 64-Bit (use the latest Service Pack)
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 at 3.4 GHz / AMD FX-8350 at 4.0 GHz
RAM: 16 GB
HARD DRIVE: At least 25 GB of free space
VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 4GB or better / AMD Radeon R9 280x 3GB or better
INPUT: Keyboard and mouse, dual analog controller

As previously announced, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst trades about Faith’s struggle to overthrow the evil regime in the city of Glass, but the main focus should be telling more of the protagonist’s backstory. Instead of building on the first game, developer DICE however started with a clean slate – not unlike how Square Enix unrecognized history of Lara Croft with Tomb Raider in 2013.

The linear levels of its predecessor has been replaced with a more open world, where players will get to experience far greater freedom. The combat system should also have been overhauled, and the game will offer more varied scenarios than the frequent escape sequences from the first game.

Remember that Mirror’s Edge Catalyst will be available next month May 24 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
