Torn Banner Studios, the creators of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, today launches the much anticipated closed beta for their upcoming magic and melee multiplayer combat game Mirage: Arcane Warfare on Steam for PC.

The official release date of the game was also revealed today, with Mirage: Arcane Warfare set to launch on the 23rd May 2017.

To celebrate the start of the closed beta, players will be able to download Torn Banner Studios’ hit game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare for free on Steam from March 27th to 28th, and permanently add it to their library.

Additionally, the studio has released two new videos, a beta launch trailer here and a beta gameplay walkthrough video here.

The closed beta will be playable until the game’s full release, with a range of maps and game modes available on a rotational basis throughout the beta phase.

Features available for the first time in the closed beta:
1. Six playable character classes ranging from the ghostly Vypress assassin to the hulking Taurant, all with customizable magic ability loadouts and hundreds of voice emotes.

2. First reveal of new character, the Entropist – a jolly, portly mage imbued with terrifying, often hilarious powers who rides a flying carpet and wields a magic staff.

3. 10+ maps available throughout the Beta period, each playable in multiple game modes including Team Objective, Point Capture, Capture-the-Flag and more.

4. Automatic matchmaking to pair players of the same skill level, or classic server browser.

Pre-orders for Mirage: Arcane Warfare are available now, and all players who pre-order either the Standard or Special Edition will get instant access to the closed beta, as well as being granted one additional “Friend Key”. Plus, all Chivalry owners get 10% off their pre-orders.
