In the past month, Nvidia announced that those who buy their new GeForce 1070 or 1080 graphics cards will receive a free copy of Gears of War 4 for PC and Xbox One. Regrettably, some users abused an error on Amazon that allowed them to purchase a code for the game without paying for the graphics card.

Thus, due to an exploit, users asked for the graphics card, Amazon sent them a code of Gears of War 4 for PC immediately, and after canceling the purchase, staying with the game without paying a single dime.

However, Microsoft and The Coalition have already taken action on the matter, as the director of community studio confirmed on NeoGAF that all who outsmarted with this exploit will run out Gears of War 4, because the keys will be revoked.

In related information, The Coalition reported that the preload for Gears of War 4 on PC is now available, and the file will weigh more than 73 GB, so we recommend you start it as soon as possible.

Also via Twitter Rod Fergusson of The Coalition has announced that those who buy Gears of War 4 for Xbox One in physical format will have to download a patch of day one with 11 GB, while those who will download the game from Xbox Store (pre-load has already left) will have everything ready in about 55 GB of download.

Gears of War 4 will debut on October 11 for Xbox One and PC.
