Microsoft Responds to PlayStation Classic with Xbox One Backwards Compatibility
Early today, Sony Interactive Entertainment took the world by surprise and unveiled its first retro console, the PlayStation Classic, adding to the trend of classic titles and mini systems. After the news toured the world, the Microsoft Xbox team in the UK did the same and reminded fans that they also have a retro experience.
A few hours after the PlayStation Classic was revealed, the official Xbox Twitter account in the United Kingdom, Xbox UK, joined the retro celebration trend and presented a publication highlighting its Xbox One backward compatibility offers, which allows you to enjoy more than 500 titles of Xbox and Xbox 360 in the most recent console of the brand.
At the same time, the publication of Microsoft noted that the property is free and some of these titles can be enjoyed in better visuals thanks to a feature support for Xbox One X.
After the fans saw the publication and took into account the proximity to the PlayStation announcement, as well as its writing, they considered that it was a friendly response to the presentation of PlayStation Classic, remembering that Xbox One is also a system that allows enjoying titles from previous generations.
