Microsoft Reiterates that Gears 5 Will Release in 2019
We are already in 2019 and Microsoft wants to do everything possible to make it an exciting year for its fans. To make it clear, the Redmond company made a publication in which it talked about what it expects for the next months. There it reiterated that Gears 5, the next installment of the Gears of War saga, is scheduled to release this year.
The publication signed by Will Tuttle, editor in chief of Xbox Wire, points out that among Microsoft’s plans for 2019 is the launch of Gears 5, Gears Pop!, Crackdown 3, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and Crackdown 3. In addition, it indicates that this year The Arena will debut, an update for Sea of Thieves that will include a new competitive mode.
Later, the publication mentions that Microsoft teams are excited to show what they are doing at Microsoft Studios. Among those are new technologies, as well as content for new platforms and services such as Xbox Game Pass.
“We can’t wait to show you what all the Microsoft Studios development teams are working on. We’re focused on implementing new Microsoft technologies, delivering content for new platforms and services like Xbox Game Pass, and creating exclusive games that turn players into loyal Xbox fans,” the company said.
Finally, it reiterated that they will continue to work on expanding Microsoft’s franchises to offer better experiences to their players: “We are committed to expanding the Microsoft Studios franchises players already love and investing in new, exclusive content for every type of gamer. We’re excited to see the teams maximize their potential at Microsoft and can’t wait for what the future has in store.”
