The monthly sales report of the NPD Group, revealed a few moments ago, not only provided information on the performance of current video games in the market and purchase preferences regarding consoles, it also had a space to grant recognition to the game.
Before revealing the most important details of June sales in the United States, Mat Piscatella, an analyst at the NPD Group, announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man, PS4’s exclusive title, became the best-selling superhero game in history. It is worth mentioning that, by January of this year, the Insomniac game had already sold 9 million copies after its debut on September 4, 2018.
Piscatella took advantage of the context of the celebration of San Diego Comic-Con 2019 to announce the best-selling superhero games and there revealed that the place that Batman: Arkham City occupied for a long time was taken by Marvel’s Spider-Man.
