On the pages of the famous online retailer GameShop has mysteriously appeared in the past hours Manhunt 3, a sequel to the bloody saga of Rockstar that was interrupted in 2007 with Manhunt 2.
The Manhunt series is absent from the scenes since 2007, when Rockstar Games released the second chapter of its stealth-horror series on PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and Nintendo Wii.
Ever since fans of the franchise have always hoped for a new chapter, unfortunately never announced by Rockstar. Today, however, Manhunt 3 appeared on the Austrian retailer store GameShop.at (now deleted), which even published the alleged cover image. The game, labeled in “uncut” version, would be destined for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
However, there are some warning signs to keep in mind: the product description shown below would seem to be identical to that of the first chapter of Manhunt. In addition, the cover of the game is actually present from 2016 on VGboxArt, a site where the artists can publicly show the boxart made personally by them.
Finally, we have to consider that, generally, very rarely we have come into possession of leaks regarding Rockstar games, which proved to be well founded.
To partially offset the situation, we know that Take-Two has recently renewed the title of the brand. We’ll to wait and see if Rockstar will confirm this news about the release of Manhunt 3.
