Microsoft is still working on its mission to get you to the point where you do not have to dust off your Xbox 360 to enjoy your favorite titles of the past generation. This is why it announced that 2 more games, Mafia 2 and Prey, were added to the catalog of backwards compatibility with Xbox One.
Through a publication on his Twitter account, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, announced that Mafia 2 and Prey are already backwards compatible with Xbox One.
So, the next time you want to play them you can do it from a console of the current generation. That’s not all since it was also revealed that both titles are offered at a reduced price as part of the week’s offers.
We remind you that the titles are backwards compatible no matter if you have them in physical or digital format. This way, if you have the Prey disc or the Mafia II disc, you can insert it into your Xbox One so that it can be downloaded and thus you can play it. On the other hand, if you bought them in digital format, both games will appear in your Xbox One digital library and you can download them from there.
In other news, this year titles like Far Cry 2, Spec Ops: The Line, Splinter Cell: Conviction and LEGO Indiana Jones 2 have joined the backwards compatibility program. On the other hand, we think you’ll be interested to know that Phil Spencer wants more original Xbox titles to arrive on Xbox One; however, it is not a simple mission.
