Light Blue Pokemon Sun & Moon Nintendo 2DS Coming to Japan on December 8
The Japanese fans of Pokémon will be spoiled by The Pokémon Company, as the company announced it will launch a new Nintendo 2DS inspired by this popular franchise.
Thus, the new Nintendo 2DS will be blue in color, and it has the silhouette of Pikachu in front, while in the rear you can see the new pocket monsters that will be available in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.
This new portable console will debut on December 8 for ¥9800 JPY, about $95 USD, however, this 2DS will be released without a copy of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. The company also did not announce whether this system will be available in the West.
In related information, last September, Nintendo announced that Nintendo 2DS sales increased by 500% due to reduced price of the system and the popularity of Pokémon GO.
For its part, Nintendo 3DS sales increased by 83% compared to the same period of time. It should be clarified that this figure does not include sales of the Galaxy system of New Nintendo 3DS XL, which debuted later.
Regarding software sales, the first-party 3DS games of Nintendo grew 57%, which includes physical and digital sales. Nintendo also talked about Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, titles that debuted two years ago and continue to have good performance in marking, being located in positions of 9 and 11 respectively.
