The expectation for Death Stranding is high and many players want to know more details about the new work of Hideo Kojima, however, the presentation of official information has come to an end and this, far from obeying any delay or problem in the development, is related to the creative position. We tell you this because Kojima revealed the reason why a lot of information about his next game has not been made public.
As part of an interview for Variety, Hideo Kojima talked about the environment surrounding Death Stranding and the aura of mystery and secrecy that has been generated during all this time.
Initially, the creative revealed that everything happens because of the position he has taken on the forms of communication currently and the effects they have on many sectors and people: “We live in a time of social networks. In this time, people just want immediate answers, but not only answers, they also want to know what they feel. This is good, this is bad. This is a game I should like. This is a game I shouldn’t like. They want answers for what they should think.”
At the same time, Kojima assured that the development team maintains the idea that the marketing section should work in a balanced way without revealing interesting details because in the end that ends up affecting the most fun part for the players, that is to discover the surprises of the game.
Finally, Kojima revealed a small detail about the gameplay of Death Stranding: “The objective of this game is to reconnect the world, many people are interested in shooters, and people can do it in. However, I would not recommend it and, through the game, people will realize that this is not the ideal option, although they will have that freedom of choice.”
