This year, Koei Tecmo released several titles that fans have enjoyed including Attack on Titan, Berserk, Dead or Alive, among others, and it seems the studio has ambitious plans for 2017, at least this was mentioned by the producers of the company in an interview.

So, the president of Koei Tecmo, Hisashi Koinuma, said that they have plans to launch many console games, including support for new hardware.

“This year we will release numerous titles for home consoles, and will also challenge new hardware and mobile titles. Everyone, thank you on behalf of Koei Tecmo games,” he said to 4Gamer. “Also, even if I’m the president, I’ll still continue to do some development.”

Previously, Koei Tecmo announced that it would support Nintendo Switch, so we assume that Koinuma was referring to this console when he said “new hardware”. Obviously, it could also refer to PlayStation 4 Pro and PlayStation VR.

On the other hand, the director of Toukiden 2, Kazutoshi Sekiguchi, announced that his team is working on a new title in the series, but made it clear that they are at an early stage of development, although they hope to show something in the course of 2017.

Recall that some titles that will arrive next year to the West are Berserk and the Band of the Hawk, Nioh, and hopefully we will see more of Dynasty Warriors 9.
