Koei Tecmo has released for Japan 2 games on Nintendo Switch and plans to bring many more on the hybrid console. These titles that are already available there are called Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence.
Koei Tecmo has released two games for Nintendo Switch in Japan – Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Sphere of Influence – and is preparing Fire Emblem Warriors in collaboration with Nintendo, in addition to Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taisihi. The company expects to announce new titles for the console coming soon; among them there could be Dynasty Warriors 9.
However, more plans are coming in the near future, which is possible thanks to the company’s main graphics engine added to the new Nintendo console to its support list. That is to say, now its engine allows them to develop video games simultaneously for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Currently, they are preparing for the release of Nights of Azure 2: Bride of the New Moon and Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi, while rumors are strong about a possible announcement of Dynasty Warriors 9.
Keiko Erikawa, the current president of Koei Tecmo recently explained that the company’s engine is now ready to produce more and more titles for the Nintendo Switch, something that surely has been encouraged by the good sales of the console since its launch.
Also, do not forget that there is another game of the studio exclusively for Switch that is currently under development, Fire Emblem Warriors.
