Hisashi Koinuma reaffirmed commitment to the Nintendo console.

Koei Tecmo

Although Koei Tecmo has been a company that has remained relevant in the industry for many years, the commercial success that they obtained thanks to the publication of Nioh has placed them at a point where it is possible to materialize new projects and fulfills the wishes of the fans.

Being one of the companies that has supported Switch since its launch, it is to be expected that the positive trend will have an effect on that relationship and this is only good news for the users of the console.

In an interview by GameSpot, Hisashi Koinuma, the president of Koei Tecmo, declared that the company will maintain its commitment to Nintendo Switch and will continue with launches, such as Attack on Titan 2 and the port of One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3, to have an important presence in the console.

In that sense, Koinuma stated the following: “I believe that the Switch was well-received and became popular because it’s really suited for the modern lifestyle, not only in Japan, but the US and also European countries as well. So we are readily available to make titles available on Switch, and either our own IPs or some other company’s IPs. I feel we’ve been working on making the titles available on Switch much faster than the other publishers. If there is any need or wishes to be played on Switch, then definitely, we will work on that.”
