The wait is over! Microsoft announced that today is the premiere of the July Xbox One Update. This means that you can now download it to your console and start enjoying all its news.
The feature that catches the attention of the update of July for Xbox One is FastStart. It is a quick start tool that was announced in E3 2018 and that will allow you to start some games before they are completely downloaded to your console. At first, this feature will only be available in the English version of some titles in the Xbox Game Pass catalog – like The Flame in the Flood and Screamride – but later more titles and languages will have support for the option.
With programs such as Games With Gold and services such as Game Pass, it is likely that you have a lot of digital games in your Xbox One library. This is why the July update also adds the Groups, a “powerful improvement” for the Pins. With it, you can create collections of different games and applications and give them personalized names. These groups will appear in sections such as Home, Guide, and My Games & Apps, so you can access them at any time. Best of all, groups are linked to your Xbox LIVE account, so they will appear on any Xbox One console where you sign in.
Are you having trouble finding content on your Xbox One? That will change soon. This is so, since with the new update it is enough to press Y anywhere in the main menu to bring up a search bar. With it you can find content that you have installed in the console; Browse features or get to store products.
