Are you a hardcore fan of the shoot ’em up? If the answer is positive, surely you remember the mythical vertical style shooter Ikaruga, developed by Treasure that debuted on the Japanese arcades in 2001. Well, there is excellent news for you because a version of the game could be on its way to PS4.

A report indicates that the German Ratings Board USK has listed a version of Ikaruga for PS4 earlier this month and already has a registration number in the entity’s databases.

If the information is true, we could soon see the arrival of one of the best shoot ’em up to PS4, which debuted on arcade in 2001 and then came to Dreamcast, GameCube, Xbox 360 and a few years ago was released on Steam.

Ikaruga is a vertical screen shoot ’em up developed by Treasure and its release was considered as a spiritual sequel to Radiant Silvergun, the same style shooter that debuted on arcade in 1998 and in that same year arrived at SEGA Saturn.

Are you ready for the possible arrival of Ikaruga to PS4? What are your favorite shoot ’em up? Tell us in the comments below.
