Valve has announced that this week Homefront: The Revolution, the FPS developed by Dambuster Studios, will be available on Steam for free.
To show the significant improvements made recently with the Performance Patch, Deep Silver is offering PC gamers the opportunity to play Homefront: The Revolution for free this weekend by promoting ‘Free Weekend’ on Steam, active from Thursday September 8 at 19:00 BST until Sunday, September 11 at 22:00 EDT.
Starting today, players can enjoy the game free of charge and fight with the Korean army in the streets of Philadelphia. The trial period will end this Sunday, September 11th at 1:00 PM Pacific Time (3:00 PM Central Time).
Additionally, the company announced that those who decide to purchase this title will receive 50% discount. The offer ends on Monday, September 12, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time (12:00 in central).
The entire game will be unlocked and available for the test, including the vast campaign of 30 hours in Single Player mode and full access to the Resistance Mode, the online experience of Homefront cooperative, together issued to all new missions. And as an added bonus, the game will also be on sale during this period.
The ‘Performance Patch’ launched this month on consoles and PC, brings significant improvements to the frame rate and performance thanks to a focus on GPU optimization particle and light to rescue checkpoint which also adds two new free quests to Resistance Mode.
