Through a video, Ninja Theory announced that its upcoming title, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, will be delayed, so the title will debut sometime in 2017.
The announcement was already in the air for some time but now we also have the official confirmation: Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice will not arrive in the market later this year, interested players will have to wait until 2017. The developer Ninja Theory has claimed that it needs more time to finish the project, but has not set a precise launch window, and we do not know for sure even the month.
In an update, the studio mentioned that they had a project that was canceled earlier this year, a situation that negatively affected the team’s progress. It was also explained that Ninja Theory extended the development after collaborating with Epic Games team that supported the motion capture which will be used in Hellblade.
The team also said that they are developing Hellblade independently to take creative control and a more intimate and personal project. Therefore, Ninja Theory would take time to finish the game.
