Halo: Fireteam Raven Will Not Release on Xbox One

The arcade title has no impact on the development of the next installment of the FPS saga.

Halo: Fireteam Raven

In mid-May, Microsoft and 343 Industries announced Halo: Fireteam Raven, a cooperative arcade shooter that will arrive in the United States and Canada sometime during the summer. If you were hoping that this experience will debut at some point on Xbox One, we have a bad news: there are no plans for that to happen.

In a recent publication on Halo Waypoint, the 343 Industries team decided to talk a little more about Halo: Fireteam Raven and resolve some doubts from the fans. There the company made it clear that it is an arcade experience that is designed to be played in a custom cabinet with a 130-inch 4K screen, as well as 4 mounted machine guns. This is why Halo: Fireteam Raven will only come as an arcade experience.

“Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix have built something uniquely suited for arcades and amusement centers. There are currently no plans for release on Xbox or other platforms,” said 343 Industries.

Now, the fact that Halo: Fireteam Raven is only designed for arcades, does not mean that it is impossible for you to have one at home. What we are referring to is that they will be available to “a broader level through distributors”. Of course, although its price has not been confirmed, it is likely to be a costly experience and which will require a large space to be installed.

To finish, we tell you that 343 Industries pointed out that Halo: Fireteam Raven has no impact on the development of the next installment of Halo, since its core team is still focused on that. Thus, it is a project that is the responsibility of Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix, in which they only collaborate in history, art and other elements of the franchise.
