Half-Life: 3 Fake Poster Appears at Gamescom 2016
In an unexpected event, right in the most important European video game event, Gamescom 2016, appeared a giant poster of Half-Life: 3, which can be seen with announcements of major games that will star this convention in Cologne, Germany.
Although located next to its ads with titles like Dishonored 2, Watch Dogs 2 and Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, among others, apparently this is a joke or a gimmick developed by a media company with a sense of humor.
After reading the advertisement carefully, you can tell what it actually says: “Half-Life: 3″ and under that in smaller text “Editors Who Played It Back Then.” It is apparently an allusion to different jokes that have appeared similarly on the Internet at sites like NeoGAF, besides being a promotion for an event.
According to the logos of this advertising, the advertisement was paid for by GICA Games, and Spieletipps, with the apparent intention of taking by surprise attendees of Gamescom, if not carefully read you could be deceived.
Despite being just a joke, advertisers know that it is sufficient enough to bring the 3 number to name Half Life for the community of players from going to get hyped. Valve does not seem to have much interest in starting the third installment of the legendary shooter. Maybe some day they will. Meanwhile, we must be content with the novelties presented at the fair, which will take place between 17 and 21 August, with presentations from companies such as Blizzard, EA and Bungie, so do not miss any news on this special event on our website, GameTransfers.
